We have reached Santiago!
I've a lot to write, but the girls, Hugh, and I are going to take the night off to celebrate. I'll post some photos now and give a full report tomorrow evening.
Thanks again to all those who sent emails and posted messages on my blog, Facebook page, and Trail Journals account. We appreciate your good wishes and we thank you all for your support.
We are just a bit short of our five thousand dollar goal for GirlVentures - I believe our total stands at $4600 (that includes a fifteen hundred dollar donation that will be sent by May 1). Therefore, if you've enjoyed our blog and would like to contribute to an outstanding female-empowering nonprofit organization, then please donate whatever you can to GirlVentures. Use the links on my blog..all of your money will go straight to the organization. (I think we have met our five thousand dollar goal for Global Fund for Women...I'll have final totals when we return to the States next week.)
A few pictures for now - more to come tomorrow.
The girls were excited to leave our Casa Rural this morning...they looked forward to arriving in Santiago.
Trees, beautiful trees!
Almost there!
A cross along the way...
Santiago on the horizon!

Inside the Cathedral, seeing St. James...
I'll post more tomorrow. The girls are happy, healthy, and looking forward to exploring more of the city tomorrow.
Unfortunately, we lose Hugh tomorrow morning since he has to fly back to Boston. He's been with us for a little more than half of our Camino and we've loved having him with (and we will miss him badly after he leaves!).
'Til tomorrow evening,
Trish

Huge Congrats ladies!
Trish you might decide to just spend the night in Santiago send hubby off tomorrow and start heading to Finesterre...I'm just putting that bug in your ear as it might allow you to spend one day in Muxia (which is all you would need). For some the final day in Muxia at the auberge down near the water was magical. I am one of those that clearly thought it was the cherry on top of my sundae. To me Santiago was a bunch of shops with a bunch of made in china items in each store...I dunno just putting the buy in your ear :) Will look up one of my favorite spots right past Cree for you in Corcu...sp???? and share too. Just a thought as I have recently come off the Camino and now planning for my three oldest to join me next year.

Congratulations! Absolutely Awesome!
Me again...
The day we left Santiago for Finesterra we left after mass giving us time to hit that stage end. The place in Muxia that I recommended was Bella Muxia, if you make it you will LOVE the couple the own it. an early bus the next morning got me back into Santiago where I had a few hours to walk around and saw anything I might have missed in those first 28ish hours there. That was enough for me...The walk from Finesterre to Muxia was dreamy and peaceful. Don't be detered if you have to leave in the afternoon.
Wonderful to know that you reached Santiago! Good for the girls in setting and meeting such an amazing goal! Thank you for sharing your story. It has been a joy to follow along.
Congrats! The time seems to have flown. I've really enjoyed reading about your adventure.
